Additional Programs

One of the groups that meet on a regular basis is the Food Pantry. Rain or Shine, the Food Pantry operates on Fridays from 12:15pm-1:45pm. The Food Pantry is run by volunteer community members in the Sunset District and serves 206 households with varying family sizes. We are one of six pantries in the Sunset District.

Special Events

In the summer months, the SFRC hosts free Family Movie Nights that are family friendly and encourage community connection. The families that attend movie nights are greeted with a warm meal, resources, and invitations to upcoming movie nights. The end of summer is celebrated with a Potluck/Movie in the Afternoon. Families leave with their bellies full and smiles on their faces. The SFRC intends to run Family Movie Nights/Afternoons throughout the year to build connections to the familes in the sunset and to link the families to the community they reside in. These SFRC movie nights would not be possible without the collaboration with the agencies that work together to form the Sunset Family Resource Collaborative.
