The ExCEL After School Learning Program (ASLP) at Sunset Elementary is open every school day from 2:40pm to 6:00pm. Sunset Elementary is located at 1920 41st Avenue, San Francisco, California 94116.

Typical Day
Youth enrolled in the ExCEL After School Learning Program are treated to an afternoon balanced with homework assistance, fun enrichment activites, structured recreational games along with recess and snack breaks scheduled in between. Within each activity, our Program Leaders make learning fun and engaging in addition to helping youth build their self-esteem and overcome difficult and challenging activities and situations by utilizing social and emotioal learning skills that can be applied throughout their lifetime.
Clubs
The end of the week means it's time for Fun Friday Clubs at Sunset Elementary! Our Program Leaders are experts in their own right and have decided to spread the love of their respective hobbies and talents to the youth at Sunset. Clubs include, but are not limited to, cooking, capoeira, art history, crafts, science, Magic the Gathering cards, Boys and Girls Sports Team and more! With all of that variety, it comes as no surprise that the Sunset youth look forward to Fridays as much as we do!
Special Events
The ExCEL After School Learning Program hosts a variety of special events throughout the year to give the youth and their families memories to last a lifetime. These events include our annual Halloween and Winter Dance, Family Night at the Giants Game, Olympics Week, and Camping in the Presidio!
