Sean Yeung has worked with immigrant children and families for over two decades; he began working at A.P. Giannini Middle School in 1994 and joined the SNBC team in 1998 as the Community Programs Coordinator. Now the Director of Afterschool Programs, Sean oversees SNBC’s afterschool programs at Francis Scott Key, Ulloa, Robert Louis Stevenson, and Sunset Elementary Schools. In addition, he manages the day-to-day operations at SNBC’s afterschool program at A.P. Giannini Middle School, which serves 265 students every day.
Sean is a contributing writer to the SFUSD/ExCEL “Implementation Guide,” which assists new afterschool programs. Born in Hong Kong, Sean was raised in San Francisco’s Richmond District and is a proud product of the San Francisco public education system.
Sean holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from San Francisco State University and graduated from Boston University with a master’s degree in Social Work, with a concentration in clinical work with children and families.
